How your child rides motocross
With kids motocross beginners, the instructor rides along with the child until they can handle the kids motorcycle on their own. To start with, a mini motocross bike with automatic is ready; children who love technology later also learn to use the clutch on a geared kids motocross bike. Riding is adapted to the children’s ability to concentrate, with plenty of breaks.
What children learn
Pulling away, accelerating, braking, cornering, seating position and where to look – in the complete packages, first small jumps and bumps are added. Kids motocross teaches children discipline, coordination, stamina and the ability to listen.
For parents
Parents are welcome to watch. No child is forced – the pace is adapted to the child. Kids motocross is absolutely suitable for girls.

How the course day works
- Welcome on site and a short safety briefing.
- The protective gear is fitted: helmet, goggles, protectors and boots – all in kids sizes.
- Your child gets a Honda kids motorcycle in the right size.
- First attempts on the child-friendly beginner track – with beginners, the instructor rides along.
- Riding with plenty of breaks, adapted to the children’s ability to concentrate.
All courses take place at the MX-Academy motocross grounds in Schlatt TG, around 30 minutes from Zurich. There are 4 different tracks on site, including a separate kids track – every group rides on its own track. Please bring long trousers, sturdy shoes and a change of clothes for after the course; everything else is fitted on site.

Validity, delivery and redemption

From what age can my child ride?
From the age of 4. The offer is adapted individually to the child’s ability.
Does my child need experience or a licence?
No. On the private grounds, children do not need a licence, and no experience is necessary.
What is included in the kids taster course?
Honda kids rental bike, protective gear for kids and coaching by professional trainers. The taster course offers 1 hour of riding time incl. breaks and only takes place every second Wednesday.
Can parents watch?
Yes, parents are welcome to watch.
What should my child wear?
Long trousers and sturdy shoes are a good idea, everything else is fitted on site. Please bring a change of clothes.
Is the voucher suitable for a kids birthday?
Yes, kids motocross is ideal as a birthday present for children aged 4 and over. Kids birthday parties, school classes or youth groups of up to 30 children can also be booked as a group.
How is the voucher redeemed?
Online at www.mx-academy.ch: when registering in the event calendar, choose the course and enter the voucher number.
How long is the voucher valid?
Two years from the date of purchase. The expiry date is printed on the voucher.
