Which motocross bike suits you depends on height, weight and experience. The CRF250R is the versatile MX bike for intermediate riders: enough power for fast laps, yet still easy to control – in club races as well as in free practice. The CRF450R is the premier class with strong pull and firm suspension; it calls for experience.

If you have not been riding for long or you are a teenager moving up, start smaller: with the CRF125F Big Wheel or the CRF150R. The matching models are shown under motocross for beginners and youth motocross.

HRC Works Edition and RWE – the factory versions

HRC stands for Honda Racing Corporation, Honda’s racing division. Besides the standard version, the CRF250R and the CRF450R come as RWE and as HRC Works Edition – with factory suspension, higher-grade brakes and race finish. Buying a motocross bike in Switzerland – workshop, trade-in and financing

A motocross bike works harder than any road motorcycle. It is therefore serviced by operating hours rather than kilometres: air filter, oil change, valve clearance, piston and suspension. A test ride on a motocross bike is only possible as part of an MX-Academy course. CRF50, CRF110, CRF125 and CRF250 are available for rent there, together with the protective gear. Training takes place on four different tracks – from the motocross taster course to the motocross course for advanced riders.

No. A motocross bike is not road-legal and is ridden on official motocross tracks or on private grounds with the owner’s permission. For road and off-road there are road-legal enduros such as the Honda CRF300L.
