A mini bike is not a toy, but not a race bike either: the CRF models ending in F are built to be forgiving. Advice and purchase are handled by pit bike and mini bike at Honda Motorrad Zürich. For the road there are road-legal mini bikes such as the Honda Monkey, Grom and Dax.

Pit bike for adults and teenagers
The CRF125F is the largest model of the F range and therefore also interesting for teenagers and adults looking for a light bike for short laps. The Big Wheel has larger wheels, more ground clearance and a higher seating position – the right choice for longer legs. If you want a full-size off-road motorcycle, an enduro is the right choice; if you want to race, a motocross bike.
Road-legal mini bikes: Monkey, Grom, Dax and Super Cub
The CRF F models are not road-legal. If you are looking for a small motorcycle for the road, a 125 cc mini bike with the A1 licence is the way: Honda Monkey 125, Honda MSX125 Grom, Honda Dax 125 or Honda Super Cub – all sold by Honda Motorrad Zürich.
Pit bike service and gear
A pit bike is also serviced by operating hours: oil change, air filter, valve clearance, chain and brakes. The workshop of Honda Motorrad Zürich takes care of this. Helmet, goggles, gloves, boots and protectors belong on the bike from the first ride – the right motocross gear is in the shop.

What is the difference between a pit bike and a mini bike?
In everyday use both terms mean the same: a small off-road motorcycle with a low seat and moderate power. The name pit bike comes from the paddock of race tracks, where such motorcycles were used for short trips.
Is there a pit bike for adults?
Yes – the CRF125F is also used by adults looking for a light bike for short laps. The Big Wheel offers more seat height.
Can a pit bike be ridden on the road?
No. The small CRF F models are not road-legal. For the road there are road-legal mini bikes such as the Honda Monkey, Grom and Dax.

The Honda CRF125F with clutch and four gears – as the standard version or as Big Wheel with larger wheels and a higher seating position.
Where can you ride a pit bike?
On private grounds with the owner’s permission or on official tracks. For a guided start there are MX-Academy courses with rental bike and gear.
