In women’s motocross, seat height, weight and an engine that is easy to control are what count. Five Honda models are suitable: CRF125F Big Wheel, CRF125F, CRF150R, CRF250F and CRF250R. The entry-level motocross bike for teenagers: a water-cooled four-stroke with 149.7 cc and Unicam four-valve head, as the standard version with 17- and 14-inch wheels and as the CRF150R Expert with 19 and 16 inches for taller riders (Honda USA data, model year 2026). Honda Motorrad Zürich supplies the CRF150R on request – availability and price are checked individually.
Honda CRF250F
The off-road bike for beginners and leisure riders: an air-cooled 250 cc single-cylinder four-stroke with a 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheel, built for friendly power rather than lap times (Honda USA data, model year 2025). Not road-legal – for tracks and private grounds. Honda Motorrad Zürich supplies the CRF250F on request – availability and price are checked individually.
Seat height and weight – what matters
If you reach the ground safely with your feet, you ride more relaxed – especially when pulling away and in slow sections. The CRF125F stays low, the Big Wheel offers more ground clearance and a higher seating position thanks to larger wheels. On the larger models, the workshop of Honda Motorrad Zürich sets fork and shock to your weight. Whether a motocross bike can also be lowered depends on the model – ask for advice.
Women’s motocross courses at the MX-Academy
The MX-Academy has its own offers for women: motocross riding among women, with a rental bike in the right size, complete rental gear and coaches who adapt to your level. Girls ride like boys: kids courses from 4 years, the models are listed under kids motocross.

Which motocross bike for women?

Yes, the MX-Academy has its own offers for women – with rental bike, gear and coaches who adapt to your level.
What if the seat height is too high?
Choose a smaller model – such as the CRF125F instead of the Big Wheel – and have the suspension set to your weight. Whether lowering is possible depends on the model.
From what age is motocross possible for girls?
From 4 years – the kids motocross courses of the MX-Academy are open to girls and boys.
